The App is designed to be a fisherman’s companion for novices to experts providing general facts and practical help to catch the 32 most common sea fishes in UK waters.
Navigation within the App is very easy using minimal key / button actions and direct links to additional external sources of information are available which include Angling Trust, IFCA, Wikipedia, Google images and Facebook.

Additional Functions
Compass:
Boat anglers will find this extremely useful for returning to various marks.
The compass will show the cardinal points and present heading as well as a bearing to return to a known ‘mark’.
The bearing / cardinal point will be continuously updated ensuring the shortest distance to travel.
The App will advise the user if there is a need to calibrate the compass and provide details of what to do.
Knots:
General information about knot types . Comprehensive details to tie six knots are provided by the use of drawings, computer simulation and videos of practical demonstration posted on YouTube.
Tides:
7 day charts for anywhere in the Europe by selecting a location on Google maps. Present location shows by default

3 day forecasts anywhere in the Europe by selecting a location on Google maps. Present location shows by default.
Camera:
The camera takes pictures in the normal way and the users can either save or discard the image. On confirming that the picture should be saved a new folder, called ‘FOF’ within the Gallery will be created to store the picture(s) for easy retrieval.
A dialog box appears to ask if the user would like to share the picture and post it to the Sea Fishing Facts Group on Facebook. On accepting this the Facebook page is shown for uploading the picture.
Torch:
Icon activates the camera flash light to come on and turns off when selecting the icon for the second time.
